Leadership, Advisors & Board of Directors

Our Roots: So often we do not choose our passions and callings - they choose us. Years ago, as marriages around us crumbled, our hearts broke as several of our friends became single moms and struggled to navigate a life they never envisioned living. We marveled as they sought to heal their own pain while raising children, working, juggling difficult finances, battling loneliness and trying to stay sane. We found a deep heart connection with these ladies and their families, and realized many of them felt very alone without a strong support system. We found many other people who share this heart as well, but simply don’t know how to help. It was in that realization this ministry was born so that every single-mama would know she is Not Alone. ~ Matt & Melissa Lindell (Founders)

Matt & Melissa Lindell

Founders

(Founders) For nearly twenty years Matt served on large, global ministries at the senior leadership level. Before founding Not Alone, he was running global operations and strategy for a large child development organization. “I loved serving the poor and vulnerable around the world, but there is something deeply satisfying about the opportunity to engage face to face, heart to heart in my neighborhood and community.” Besides managing all the business operations for Not Alone as Executive Director, Matt is a soccer coach and loves being in the great outdoors by hiking, running, and cycling.

Melissa serves Not Alone as the Program Director, responsible for all the heart connection, partner engagement, and organizational response to mamas in our network. Before Not Alone, Melissa led the licensing team for a local foster care agency where she and Matt previously fostered numerous children.
