Love Your Neighbors Well

WAYS WE HELP YOU

Most single moms feel unseen, unloved, and alone.

They often don’t know people like you are in their corner cheering them on.

At Not Alone, we love helping supporters use their gifts, passions, and treasures to change the narrative and see transformation and healing for the single mom and her children.

START A COMMUNITY

IMPACT IS EASIER THAN YOU THINK!

Start a small group through your church and invite several moms to join you once or twice a month. Provide childcare, share love, and watch God work.

Are you curious but want to know more? Let us know and we’ll and we’ll answer all your questions and guide you every step of the way if you decide to move forward.

SHARE YOUR
SKILLS

WE ALL HAVE A GIFT TO SHARE!

+Do you like to cook? Gather friends and make freezer meals?
+Are you an encourager? Befriend a single mom and pour into her.
+Are you handy, able to fix things, or move stuff? You’d be a huge blessing!
+Would your professional skills be a resource to a single mom?

Let us know, the odds are we could find a place for you!

DONATE
FINANCIALY

NO ONE CAN DO EVERYTHING
EVERYONE CAN DO SOMETHING!

We are passionate about financial stewardship. And, we are passionate about seeing the lives of single moms and their children transformed.

We work hard to ensure that every dollar donated is invested into the most impactful areas of need.

WHAT DOES NOT ALONE DO?

Many single moms, particularly those from faith backgrounds, carry a stigma and shame.

We take a grace-filled, gospel-centered approach with every mom we engage. From the instant we connect, she should feel seen, loved, and supported. We offer dignity and encouragement as we listen to her story and learn about her unique journey.

Research shows that healthy relationships are the key to healing.

Because of this, everything we do starts with community. We know healthy and consistent relationships have a transformative power. After getting to know a single mom, we invite her into one of our small group communities.

For single moms in the community, we offer developmentally appropriate tangible support when needed as we are able.

Sometimes, we offer financial support to help with housing or broken cars. We partner with therapists who provide counseling and an expert on domestic violence. When moms need help moving, fixing things in their homes, or cleaning, we help with those, too.

We love celebrating single moms' ascent to new heights. Each year, we celebrate when they finish college, marry, become leaders to others, and deepen their faith.

Our success as a ministry is based on helping single moms find hope, healing, and wholeness, which leads to greater confidence in raising their children.

  • Thanks for asking! Genuinely, prayer is vital. Many of our moms are walking very dark roads and need God’s presence with them.

We need to be connected to more churches. We'd be grateful if you would introduce us to your place of worship.

We need more communities for single moms to find hope, healing, and wholeness. We’d love to talk about how to start one- and it’s easier than you might think!

Finally, we certainly need financial resources to enable us to transform churches, cities, and future generations by helping single moms find hope, healing, and wholeness to lead their families confidently.

    Connect

  • Based on research, the most powerful resource we can provide is an engaged, supportive community.

Yet, when you are struggling with rent, food, car troubles, and all the realities of life, that may not sound too helpful. We get it.

At Not Alone, everything starts with relationship. Without that, we are happy to point you to other community resources.

For those in our communities, we sometimes can assist with tangible needs.

  • While every community is a bit different, all have several core characteristics:

    1) Grace-Filled: We are not here to “fix” you. Groups are meant to be places of sanctuary where you are safe and welcome, even if your life is a mess. You don’t have to fake it or wear a mask.

    2) Gospel-Centered: This does not mean “preachy.” It simply means that we believe true hope and healing come from Jesus. This means there is hope for all of us, no matter where we are or where we’ve been.

    3) Nurturing Child-Care: If your children don’t enjoy coming, you can’t truly rest and engage. We also have strong child protection policies to keep your kids safe.

Logistically, groups meet in homes, churches, and McDonalds. They usually have a time of connection, eating, discussion (often with a Biblical theme), and prayer. They are all meant to be open and very welcoming places.

  • No. We welcome all single moms regardless of their faith background. There are faith elements to our communities. However, many non-believing women attend one of our groups and feel the same love and support as those who do have faith in Jesus.

  • Currently, we have communities in Colorado and Missouri. However, we have the ability to grow to other areas. If you have need in your community, please let us know.

We are also in the process of starting a virtual community that would expand our reach across the United States.

  • Yes! We love the opportunity to speak with anyone who has a heart for loving the single moms in their community. We’re happy to speak with pastors, leadership teams, churches, small groups, and others in person or remotely.
